I LOOOOOVE the elder tree more than anything else:
Nothing as beautiful as a summer's night when you look
over the fields, and the elderlyflowers glow like
a 1000 small white clouds...it makes me soooooooo soft! I
t is NOW!! And it's time to make elderlyflower drink :O)))

In the states, they are "Elderberry" and I have one planted outside my bedroom window - in addition to the beautiful glow in the moonlight, there is nothing as fragrent!
Did you know that some people dip the large blooms in a kind of batter and fry them? In addition to making wine!

Hi Ricka!!!
Great to see you - thanks for your comment!!
In Danish they are 'hyld' or 'hyldetræer' (hyldetraer' - trae means tree').
I love the fragrent too - reminds me of my mother and grandmother, the beginning of the summer holiday, going out early in the morning picking flowers before 'the world begins' and it reminds me of a lot of happiness!
Ooh, yeah I've tried to fry them: too...good! And dry them for tea...lovely when the winter comes...
;O)
