Gunnar was my grandmother´s uncle! See the young woman on the - brygga in Swedish - looking down on the guy in a boat? This is my grandmothers´older sister Karin von Born (15 y.o.) and her little brother Ernst! (who later became a minister in the Finnish Government.) Gunnar died prematurely (at 40) and so was partly forgotten. (caught a deadly disease while he was painting in Egypt in the 1880-ies.) He was a wonderful paintre de salon!
