The Copenhagen lakes in winter dress


I've shown you photos of 'The Lakes' before, but now Peblinge søen/The Peblinge Lake is frosten solid...so here I am ON the lake :O)



Next to Peblinge søen is 'Nilen'/The Nile...also in winter dress!

It is a real winter...I've live here 14 years, and this is the second time one can 'walk on The Lakes'

thank you for this interesting tour! i love the underwater sculpture. WE have had frosen lakes here for the first time in many, many years too, People wanted to go curling on them, as they used to in the good old days.

It's been a cold, cold winter...and this morning new snow covered the ground....I just love it!

When I read your comment (and thanks!)I came to think of all the stories 'from the good old days' that one hear in a weather like this...you know, from a time when the winters were cold and the summers warm...h

Here it is (also) often about frozen water, too...frozen water between the diffent islands..and people crossing it on foot, bikes or even cars."...and then we went to Sweden on foot....", or...

I was so great to read about curling...I've never heard anyone around here telling about that! It must be a lot of fun!
