People moved to the major towns....
. ..to work in the factories etc...
Many people had the same jobs all their lives; the pictures show the loyal workers who have been celebrating their 25 year or 40 year anniversary.
Suddenly the cities changes: People needed means of transport ...bikes, buses, trams, and cars filled the streets.
More and more children went to school every day and had an education. The white hat is a student cap.
The health services improved.'Free health check' the poster reads.

And there were so, so many...no one would notice if you took one of them ;O))
...we must return in the night and sneak one away...hehe!
