In the state I live in Minas Gerais (BR) are as common as amethyst crystals, amethysts have on all sides (light and dark). Minas Gerais is because of the amount of gold and precious stones that we had (half of the European baroque gold is ours).
I'm so fond of amethysts! I believe that you must have all sorts of amethysts in your shops in Minas Gerais!
Once I saw a large amethyst geode in London - like 1½ m. in diameter - it was so incredible beautiful to look at...like a fairy tale of colours.
I do believe that half of the European baroque gold was from your part of the world...some bought, more stolen. In colonial time Europeans stole whatever they could, whereever they could...
Yes, we were a Portuguese colony, Minas has mine. There is work with poor people in my state, especially young people, in which they are birds with a variety of semi-precious stones. They are beautiful pieces, hummingbird, eagle, toucan countless emails. One day maybe at least show you what I have in my house, a hummingbird on one of Druze ametista.Sempre that look now I remember you. Cheers.
Hi Marcus! Oh, you live in a land of richness and colours...up here north we do not have that colourful stones...or birds, flowers etc. I've also heard that people 'down south' are more warm and colourful than us 'up here' ;O)
