Today I saw the house of my dreams via Etsy: It is the stone cottage and studio owned by the painter, sculptor, craftsman and architect Henry Varnum Poor (1888-1970)...Crow House. I'm so, so smitten with this house! I want to move in tomorrow..no, today! Take a look:

How how precious! the house of my dreams looks like this too...and the garden,i could look that image for hours! best regards from the south!
And if you move...told me, i send you an Argentinian cat! ;)
Dibs on the attic room!
Oh yes, I want it too! I love the exterior and the setting of the house ... I'd have to find a cozy nook inside for just me though ... the bathroom is fantastic and the tile in the shower area reminds me of a figure in a glass door in an arts and crafts house in my town of about the same era ...
Isn't it fun to fantasize about living in a magical place like this?
I often wonder if people who live in beautiful houses are more happy than the ones who don't. I know that it is not the case, but I've seen that the opposite can make people unhappy...
I am happy to say that it
is 99% sure we are going to move per Mai 01 to a beautiful house with a very bog garden for all my animals!!!
I am sure I will be happier there then here!
I hope and cross my fingers, Anna! Well, I would be happier in a house with a wonderful garden too!!
Maybe this is another artist´s house interesting to see,the house of Pablo Neruda in Isla Negra.

Thank you so much, Maria! I like the picture of his instruments very much...also a wonderful home!!
HVP was my mother's uncle, and I spent many happy days at Crow House, surrounded by its beauty. My family lived further down South Mountain Road, in a gorgeous Poor-designed home. Thank you for appreciating HVP's glamour and style.
Hi Meredith!
Thank you so, so much for your comment! This house is so magic...and to me it is also magic to hear from you who has spent many happy hours there!! It must have been an inspiration to have had an uncle like Henry Varnum Poor...growing older I often myself thing of the things I saw in my childhood...and how much they have effected me as a human being....
Again, thank you so much for writing me!!
