Women from Fanø - a Danish island

Below I'll show you some female traditional costumes
from a Danish island named Fanø (Fanoe)

As late as the 1920s a lot of the Fanø women still dressed exactly
as you can see it in these pictures

The location of Fanø. Fanø is a small island - 16 km long
and 5 km wide - A variety of environments are to be
found on Fanø. Not surprisingly, a very common one is
sand...the wind can be very hard. Today a lot of
tourists come there every summer...by ferry...I've
been there myself...wonderful!!
