Sorry for not translating the titles..I just don't
know how to..they are very poetic...

Oh I wish for some sort of translation for the painting
'Recensenten og Dyret'
It all looks so wonderfully Bohemian and romantic .... !!!
At the turn of the century here in the town where I live, there was a famous artist's colony for many years and many of the studios are similar to the one pictured here ...
Information please! I'm so intrigued ...
Hi Basic North!
So great to see you! Thanks for your comment! So interesting about the the artist colony...what are the names of these artist?
Agnes and her husband Harald Slott-Møller (I'll post some more but untill then see: http://polarbearstale.blogspot.com/2009/01/harald-slott-mller-1864-1937.html)
are my all time favourite artists...whenever I see their art I can't move...they fill the room and my mind! All their paintings are in VERY beautiful art nouveau frames (skønvirke in danish)....
Well, I can't translate the titles because a lot of them refer to old (often medieval +/-) Danish folk tales/songs/history...or the names have not a lot of meaning in English (often it is an old type of Danish that we don't use anymore...just like recensenten...it means some one who is critical or who analyses things. Dyret means the animal: so 'The critical (person)and the animal'...
The couple Slott-Møller painted (Danish) national romantic paintings big time...as you can see
hugs,
Mette
