The heather is blooming..

In August-September the heather is in bloom on the Danish moors.
I've been thinking about it all day...

The Danish moors are closely connected to the Danish writer and poet
Steen Steensen Blicher (1782-1848). He grew up in close contact to
nature, peasant and gypsy life in the moor areas of Jutland

I love heather! I didn't know that in Denmark too there was plenty of! And also, thanks for the suggestion of that poet.. I'd love to read something in his mothertongue, but I'm afraid I'd better try an English translation :-)

Good morning Eleonora! Yes, we have heather here in Denmark...but not in all parts of the country; mostly in Jutland. Blicher is wonderful....I think you're right: The English versions would be the easiest to read ;O)
