Hi dear friend! my last post on Art Blog is about a danish painter: can you tell me if the title is correct? Here's the link: http://my-museum-of-art.blogspot.com/2010/10/laurits-andersen-ring-ved-frokostbordet.html
Thank youuuu so much!! Oops! I've forgotten to ask you what the title of this picture means??? But answer only if and when you have time. ***Have a nice day***
Hi Art et Vintages: If I should translate it word by word it says: at the breakfast table and the morning news papers. Today 'breakfast' is 'morgenmad' but in the old days it was often called 'frokost' (fro is an old word for 'early' and 'kost' means 'meal')
So in English one would say Sitting at the breakfast with the news papers...or something like that
