This dragon is very interesting! Is the lady riding it a saint?
I've found a nihon-ga painting similar in composition to this one before.
Mette, may I use this painting on my blog when I write a post about "similarity"? And thank you for sharing a number of dragon paintings!! I enjoyed them a lot!

I belive the woman is the Virgin Mary because The Immaculate Conception is always = The Immaculate Conception of Mary (please see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immaculate_Conception)
