One of the most beautifully painted manuscripts of
the princely Burgundian household is this Book of
Hours of Mary of Burgundy and Emperor Maximilian.
Their marriage culminated in the long planned liason
of the houses of Habsburg and Burgundy. The codex
probably dates back to the time of their marriage
somewhere between 1477 and 1480
