The visual arts have long been highly sexist, it is only now that really opened the space for women. But when they took their places were fantastic. An example that, despite being a work very troubled (like life) I really like is the Frida Kalo.

So true, so true...great with female painters...and Frida is one of my favourites, too!! Well, females painted flowers...or that is what women were ta etcught...but it changed and in the 19th century/beginning of the 20th century a lot of wonderful artists became more and more famous, right?
