'Last Dance in the Arctic'

Thank you Marga for the link to a beautiful
quilt by Kathy McNeil. She writes:

This grand old Mother asks for your help, as her life
and children literally melt away. National Geographic
reports that Two-thirds of the world's polar bears could
disappear by 2050 as global warming continues
to melt the Arctic's sea ice.

The new findings paint a sobering picture for polar bears,
whose dependence on sea ice makes them particularly
vulnerable to warming temperatures.

Center for Biological Diversity for more information.

the workmanship on this quilt is quite unique and lovely. my heart breaks to read of the sad fate of the bears who have had such peaceful lives.
