Saramago, the portuguese writer tells in his Small Memories that when his grandfather realized he was going to die, he went to his orchard and hugged one and each of his trees, saying good bye to all of them
“The world is so beautiful, it makes me sad to think I have to die.” said his grandmother who could not read or write and never went out of her little town, but she loved life and trees. Hugs
