This is Hans Langseth, who grew the longest beard
ever recorded at 18 feet 6 inches long. The photo above
was taken when he was 66 years old in 1912. Hans lived
a pretty normal farming life for the time outside of the
fact he had a ginormous beard. He passed away in 1927

I think you must have the most contrasting subjects of any blogger: the man with the longest recorded beard, and a pair of colourful, felted, fingerless gloves, for instance!
Actually, there is more of a link here than first meets the eye, as the man's beard is so long and so old that it has become felted, and that leads naturally into the felted gloves, perhaps?
Anyway, it's all fascinating and intriguing, whatever subjects you choose :-) Thanks for sharing

"The Longest Beard.." i know it's an amazing beard, but his eyes catches more my attention, so beautiful i think..
Hi Jane Gray - The Time Sculptor!
You really made me happy this morning - what a lovely comment! And so glad you found my blog and like it!
I've never thought about the contrasts in my blog - I just post what I like. I don't know anything about art or photography..I just feature it ;O)So a blog about anything that comes to mind ;O)
Hi Maria,
Yes, you have a point; the beard in one thing - his eyes are another thing!
