Ah, on Thanksgiving Day,
when from East and from West,
from North and from South, come the pilgrim and guest
What moistens the lip and what brightens the eye
What calls back the past like the rich Pumpkin pie
J.G. Whittier

Thank you for the Thanksgiving greetings from afar. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit with you every day.
Whenever I think of days before Thanksgiving I am dying of grief because of the turkey. Have to be baked for a celebration is not good, and I do not eat meat at all.
Thank you so much...and thanks for visiting me, Marilyn :O)
I know what you mean, Marcus. Well, I love meat but do not eat a lot of it. Being killed for someone else to eat is terrible, but I think the most important thing is how the killing is done...and how did the animal live before it was killed....and too many animals live miserable lives...and are being transported for many hours before being slaughtered...
