Such beautiful blooms for these darkening days. I love that it has both pink and red! Here in Canada, my family has always called it a "Christmas" cactus, but after reading this post I have discovered I actually have a "November" cactus. I found this description of the differences helpful http://cactus.biology.dal.ca/paulS/christmas/christmas.html Thanks for all your posts. They are not only beautiful and inspiring, but also educational!!
Thank you the both of you for your comments! Oh, Marcus, I've never seen a yellow one!!
And thanks for the link...I've learnt a lot!! Here in Denmark we also call it for November and Christmas catus as we please...and actually also Easter cactus...strangly enough I think they also bloom at Easter (..and I do not think of the sort that was mentioned in the link)...hmmm, I might be wrong!! These cacuses bring so much joy...and they bloom no matter how they are treated; I've seen it time and time again at the places I've been working: people forget to water them...but they bloom anyway..so amazing...
