Beth Ann Magnuson's eggs...

A carved vine and flower band circles the egg
and on one side includes an oval with a
silhouette of a standing bunny

An amazing video! See how Beth Ann Magnuson,
Bishop Hill, Illinois carves egg shells into delicate
ornaments she describe as 'Victorian Lace Eggs'

These beautiful lace eggs are sold in
Beth Ann Magnuson's Etsy shop:
The Nest at Windy Corner

Beth Ann Magnuson also makes the most lovely, marbled
beauties
. They are real blown chicken eggshells that have
been hand dyed in brilliant colours by her own special process.
Each shell is unique and covered in a layered speckled pattern
that captures the imagination of all who behold them

So stunning!

The egg has a strutting rooster on one
side and a dapper rabbit on the reverse

Beth Ann Magnuson writes:
'I sketched my design on a clean blown egg shell and
then drew over the lines in wax. The egg was then placed
in a chemical solution until the desired depth of etching was
achieved. This step was repeated to to produce lighter
shades in the design. This brown chicken egg reveals
white where etched. It was cleaned and sprayed
with a light sealant'.
