Hi Ida!! So wonderful to hear from you...thanks for the sharing that information about your mother! I can only imagine that it must have been hard work - in many ways our life is much easier today; we buy everything in stores...but a lot of the old knowledge is slowly lost - that is: we can read everything on the Internet or in books...but fewer and fewer actually know "in their hands" how to make the traditional craftworks. I read that some old people in Rusland still wear birch bark shoes...but soon they are gone...
