I once saw a similar scene to
"Genoveva in the Wood Clearing" when I was living in Bavaria, near the Czech border back in 1975. I had just turned a corner on the path in the forest, and there was an old woman hand-feeding deer! But then that was the same mountain forest where, earlier that day, a witch hiding in the bushes had screamed at me at the top of her lungs....

Thank you for sharing! You have had such wonderful and amazing experiences; people with vlose connections to nature, witches...

Where do you live today?

I'm living on the "Norwegian Riviera," that is, Minnesota's Lake Superior coast. Lots of wilderness. I also lived in Germany and Switzerland for almost 7 years. Ja, ich bin "verdeutscht" und meine Seele ist dort geblieben.

If you want, you can read my fairy tales at hercynia.net/texts/Hercynia.pdf They fit in perfectly with the vibe you have here.

Hi Hercynius! Oh, I thought you were american, but then again i thought you might be European beauce you've told me that you've lived here. I mostly know northern Germany but I'm told that the south is so wonderful...I hope to go there once..
I've been to Basel, Zürich...and Dornach. I went there because I wanted to see the Goetheanum. Beautiful, beautiful. several of my friends lived/live in Switzerland...
