No, it is not my blog...

A very dear friend of mine has contacted me
because some one has copied my entire blog...everything
I've written and even my own photos...for 4 (!) years - and no,
Tales from My Cup is not my blog...and I must say that is
the most grotesque, disrespectful and silly thing I've
ever seen...You're welcome to reblog EVERY
image you see on my blog - but please,
don't misuse it...(I can't believe
I even had to say that...!)
Thanks!

Fy!

Hi Aputsiaq,
is terrible! happened to me with my drawings and it is terrible for someone to copy your work, or that plagiarize ... these people are empty and unscrupulous, lack of creativity and inner life. they are empty! Courage, which will follow, we know how wonderful you are!

cheers

~Sara~

Dear all of you - kære alle!

Thank you for your comments! And thanks for all the heart felt words!
Karumina, it must have been so hard for you, that some one misused your artworks - I've never heard anything like it...how could they do such a thing!!

Oh that's horrible! The same thing happened to me a year ago. My fellow blogger kindly let me know the disgusting blogs(there were two such blogs)in which my posts had been completely copied for more than two years. I reported the issues to Google and they deleted the said blogs in two months.
Cheers!!

Noooo, Sapphire...you've tried it, too??!! I'm glad to now that these blogs are now gone. I really can't see the fun of doing that...making ones own blog is so much more fun!

I don't understand... YOur entire blog was copied, and posted somewhere, as someone else's????

Yes, that must be what happened. It is terrible.

Yes, Auntie my entire blog was copied by some one else and posted under another name that A Polar Bear's Tale. So silly of this person to do something like that!

Art and Vintage said...

Incredible!!! Why someone can do something like that?? Really I don't understand!!
For your information, I click on the link : this blog does not exist anymore.

Aputsiaq said...

I didn't know that this could happen either. I repported it to Blogger so they must have stopped it! Thanks a lot Art and Vintage for telling me - now I have deleted the link!!!

For a long time now, I have so admired and thankful for your blog. I often struggle with wanting to capture art for the full emotion some works can bring on, at the same time fiercely wanting to respect the artist. The balance, for me, is knowing I can return to your blog at the click of a button and visit such a wonderful collection in one space. I am sorry your work, which was created from your heart, was violated. I will give the benefit of the doubt that this person looks at a computer screen not knowing there is a person (with feelings) behind it.. and perhaps this action will lead them through a lesson to be learned in order to open their heart. I hope this does not discourage you from carrying on with your endeavor. ~Love and Light

The same thing has happened to me with TYWKIWDBI - I think at least twice, perhaps three times. The most recent "mirror" was even hosted on Blogspot!

I believe these copies are created by automated 'bots rather than my copying-and-pasting humans. I'm not sure of the motivation, since the blog-copy did not contain advertisements or links to spam.

Thank you for your comments!!

Anansi *~&g you really brought a tear to my eye - I'll treasure that comment for a long time to come - thanks! You are so right; a lot of me is put into this blog, and the Polar Bear was so special to me (like no of my other blogs...), so that is why it hurts. But thanks to all the wonderful comments - like yours - I feel much better now!

Hi Stan! The same happened to you - several times!! Oh, my dear - I simply don't know what to say! How terrible!
I wondered who and why, too - mybe beause of ads/money....but I didn't see any ads on THAT blog either...I think it is an interesting thought about the automated 'bots. Hmmmm, I'm still puzzled...

Ana said...

What, it happened to TYWKIWDBI, too?
(Btw, one of the best blogs out there.)

Wow.

I'd like to think it's just some kid who doesn't know better, wanting to have things that they love on their own address...

The worst copying I've seen was within the food blogging community. Those are adults, professional chefs even, who do know better, earn from "their" sites and are, sometimes, rude enough to claim even watermarked images as their own!

Aputsiaq said...

Yes, I can't believe it either!!

Oh, my dear I really thing it is so terrible about the food blogs - do people not respect other people anymore (says this grumpy old lady...)?????

I love your blog..thank you for it..it is very very sad...but not worth your creative thought for long...I know it was a while ago so I am sure you have recovered but if not.. Go look at the beautiful paintings and think of all of us who are so thankful for you and your blog......the bad will go away..and you will soar as you do! Thank you so so much for all you do.

I have family in Denmark..I love Danish women as I relate to them so much..my mother was raised by a Danish mother..and her mother was raised by a Danish mother...and so on...Blessings on you!!

Aputsiaq said...

Hi Deirdra Doan! You really made me speachless - I thimply don't know what to say but tak - thank you!

So interesting to hear that you have Danish ancestors - thank you for sharing. (...and i read on your blog that they where from one of the most beautiful places in Denmark!)

Have a wonderful weekend - I'll bring your lovely comment with me all weekend long!

Feronia said...

I am so shocked to read that someone would do that! How awful. Nothing could quite imitate your blog, though, which is so uniquely beautiful :) I am going to head over to your new Nordic blog now...wonderful! I love all things Scandinavian :)

Aputsiaq said...

Hi Feronia! Thank you so, so much! I really couldn't believe that any one could do such a thing either...but I learned that other people have tried the same as well.
Thanks for visiting me on my other blog :O))

Gina Duarte said...

Why would someone do that??? If one truly loves art, an art blog would be a labor of love and not someone's else's.

Thank you for your generosity in regard to reposting images and for the many years of enjoying your blog, though I rarely leave comments. :-)

Aputsiaq said...

Thank you so much -I'm so glad you followed my blog. Thanks!! Maybe he/she made money on aads...hmmm, I really don't know, because I simply can't understand it either...I mean...for four years...so silly!.

What a sad note to end on! People are strange. I'm so sorry to read this, and to learn that you're stopping. It's not very long since I discovered this blog, and I hope it will be here for a while, as I also hope to catch up on your posts, or as many as I can. Anyway, I appreciate all you have done, and look forward to your new blog.

Aputsiaq said...

Thank you for a wonderful comment, Serena Sea Green - oh, I never in my wildest dream thought it be my last note on the Polar Bear, either! Thank you for following me and liking my blog ;O) THANKS!
